This Site is proudly brought to you by the Danton Gay Club Group,
established in 1978 with the birth of Pretoria's legendary Club Equusite.
Owners Danie Hamman and Anton Swanepoel has ever since had very
close relationship ties with the Pretoria gay community, its organisations and
various charities and were also responsible for creating and hosting the Mr
and Miss Gay Pretoria pageants.
Throughout the years the couple owned and managed many clubs of which
Equusite, Pablo's, and Chaps were very well known. Present-day
enterprises include Pretoria's oldest club - Camp David, (nude cruise bar for
men), the well known Detour Bar & Lounge (bar/club, famous for it's
spectacular strip & drag cabaret shows and pageants, providing undoubtedly
a gay vibe and thrilling dance music), and a new recent addition, a first for
Pretoria, the now very popular Friction male cruise bar.
The latest addition to the group is their new brainchild - Sauna Boyz Steam
and Leisure, (gay sauna and bathhouse), a first for South Africa due to the
unique concept of introducing a venue which not only offers all the customary
features of bathhouses such as a sauna, jacuzzi and steam room, but also a
small restaurant, bar and lounge area as well as a gymnasium for those
fitness fanatics.
Another acquirement of the Danton Gay Club Group is the acquisition of
the official gay website of South Africa - www.gaysouthafrica.co.za
Twelve months ago Danie and Anton bought the much neglected site from the
owner who lives in the Australia. A web designer was appointed to revamp
and upgrade the site which is now providing info in many modern and exciting
dimensions to gays all over the world.
